Should be! This was a band he fronted in the early to late 2000s. After that he joined the military and continued creating solo stuff.

Was just listening to “Sextape” by Deftones and was like WAIT. Finally placed the familiar feeling I got from it and it’s this song which was probably my favorite of theirs - and for the record, came out a few years before the Deftones song.
